Privacy Policy
What data Owerly collects, how it is used and how to have it removed.
Translation
This is a convenience translation. The binding version is the Russian original; in case of any discrepancy, the Russian text prevails.
1. General
This document describes how the OWERLY service (the "Bot", the "Service", "we") collects, uses and stores users' personal data.
The Service is operated by sole trader Wacław Kozłowski, registered in the Republic of Poland, VAT ID: PL5252894169.
The Bot is available in Telegram as a Mini App at https://t.me/OwerlyBot.
2. Contact
If you have questions about privacy or data processing, contact us in Telegram: @OwerlyBotSupport.
3. Age restrictions
By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older and have full legal capacity.
4. Data we collect
- data provided by Telegram:
- unique identifiers of users and groups;
- username;
- the first and last name set in your profile;
- group names;
- your profile and group photos;
- data you enter yourself: expenses, amounts, currencies, categories, groups;
- data about connections between users: friendship status, group membership and so on;
- aggregated data about settlements between users and groups;
- other anonymised data used for analytics and improving the Service:
- Google Analytics — to understand how people use the Service;
- Sentry — to find errors in the Service.
We have no access to your private conversations in Telegram.
When the Bot is added to a group, its privacy settings by default do not allow it to receive members' messages. The exception is when a group administrator has manually allowed the Bot to read messages. You can check whether the Bot has access in the group's member list — the relevant status is shown next to the Bot's name.
5. How we use data
Data is used solely to run the Service, to the extent needed for it to work. We do not pass personal data to ad networks, data brokers or other third-party companies.
6. Storage
- Data is stored within the European Union, regardless of the user's region.
- Data is transmitted over secure channels only (HTTPS).
- Retention: for as long as you use the Service, or until you ask for deletion.
7. Deletion
Deletion takes the form of anonymisation: data visible to other users (ID, username, first and last name) is anonymised, while records and settlements are kept so the shared history stays consistent.
8. Third parties
Data is passed only to analytics services (Google Analytics, Sentry), to the extent they need to work. We do not pass personal data to ad networks, data brokers or third-party companies.
Advertising may appear in the Service in future, but without passing personal data to third parties.
9. Monetisation
The Service offers a paid subscription. Its terms are described on the subscription management page.
For digital products, Telegram's rules require payment exclusively in Telegram Stars, Telegram's internal currency. You can buy them right before paying for a subscription, or in your Telegram profile settings → My Stars.
Telegram Stars payments are processed by Telegram directly: we do not receive, store or process your payment details. We only receive the payment status.
10. Referral programme
We reserve the right to enable a referral programme for the Bot. Its duration and reward percentage are set by us. Rewards are paid out exclusively by Telegram.
11. Your rights
You have the right to:
- request access to your data;
- request anonymisation of your data;
- request deletion of your data where this is compatible with the Service working;
- ask a question or make a complaint through @OwerlyBotSupport.
12. Changes to this policy
We may change this Privacy Policy. The updated version will be published in the Bot, and continuing to use the Service will mean you accept the new version.
